I am a Yorkshire lass, living near Nairn, Scotland and enjoying a new found passion for flipping furniture. That could be a coat of paint on tired furniture or creating something new from old furniture.
Using a variety of paint manufacturers, painting techniques and placing of furniture transfers can give you such an individual, unique piece of furniture.

A true "flipping" story!
My daughter sent me an image of something that she thought would be a great idea for our grandaughter, so thought I would give it a go.
"A storytime chair"
Off to our local recycling centre, know as Moray WasteBusters, spotted a bedside to start with. Once back home, my plan started to come together, with the help of flipping 'eck, Grampy.
We moved the drawer and its fittings from the top position and replaced it at the bottom, removed the top which became a shelf for the seat. All that was needed was a back - plenty of wood off-cuts in the store and ta-dah, a back. Out came the jigsaw to shape the sides.
The colour theme was to fit in with Rosie's bedroom that included the Harris Tweed bought for the soft furnishings.
All painted, foam was cut to fit and covered with the Harris Tweed. Finished off with a rope style knob for the drawer and a pink vinyl for the drawer bottom.
And Rosie loves it! See the video below
